edieval Artisan Program of Study for Bone

Minimize
The Craft of Bone Working covers the preparation of Bone from the Animal to the Finished Product.

We have organized the skills and information about this Craft into a Medieval Artisan Program of Study (MAPS), which includes a set of Skill Definitions, Skill Tests to verify mastery of the Skill, How-To Guides to explain the Skill, Projects the Artisans have done using the Skill, and an Annotated Bibliography relevant to that Skill.

We hope you will enjoy our presentation of this data and find it useful to your own studies.  As always, please provide feedback to us about any of these MAPS if you have additional information or see a better way to organize or present it.

We would love to see Medieval Artisan Programs of Study (MAPS) for Wood, Bone, Horn, Fabric, Leather, Glass, Pigment and Stone, but setting up MAPS for Metal and Clay is enough to keep us busy for quite some time.  If you have a passion for teaching one of those crafts, or some other one we have not included, send us a draft Program of Study for it.  If we like what we see, we'll set you up as a Master Artisan on our site and help you enter the information necessary to define a Program of Study for your craft.
